Class Dojo

All parents are encouraged to sign up to Class Dojo to keep up to date with class events. There is also a message system for you to contact the Teacher directly in your chosen language.

Our Curriculum

In Year 3, we will be starting to work independently on a number of exciting topics including the Stone Age and Ancient Egypt.

In English, we will be using the Talk for Writing approach to develop the tools needed in order to read and write independently for a variety of audiences and purposes.

In Maths, we will be working on our mathematical fluency, problem solving and reasoning skills through a range of concrete, pictorial and abstract resources. As well as focusing on our timetables in preparation for the multiplication tables check in year 4.

Homework is given out on a Friday and needs to be handed in the following Tuesday. Homework will focus on consolidating the skills the children have been practising during the week. Reading Records are sent out at the beginning of the school year with the expectation that children read at least 5 x per week, we ask parents to sign the reading record and send into school regularly. Children are expected to learn their spellings every week.
