Welcome to St Ignatius Catholic Primary School
On behalf of the children staff and governors I would like to warmly welcome you to St Ignatius. As a Catholic community we support both children and adults in living by the values we find in the Gospel. St Ignatius is a friendly, busy and happy environment where our children enjoy learning.
Our children have wonderful talents and we do all we can to develop them in ambitious and exciting ways. We enjoy a close relationship with our parish and are proud of the pastoral care we offer our pupils. St Ignatius is a school where everyone is valued and welcome. Vision Aims and Mission

Our vision is of a rich and caring learning community guided by our Catholic faith and the Gospel values. We value the diversity our children and families bring to our school community and celebrate the culturally and linguistically rich environment in which we learn together.

Saint Ignatius
Our school is in the parish of St Ignatius of Loyola, in Stamford Hill. The first part of the building, the sanctuary, was built in 1903 and the building was completed in 1911.
Each week a class from our school attends 10am mass at the church. Often, we will try to ensure we attend mass on important Feast Days. Year 1 and Year 3 went together on 1st October to celebrate the Feast Day of St. Therese, Year 1's Class Saint. Year 5 went on 7th October to celebrate the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary.
Catholic Social Teaching
Catholic Social Teaching is based on the belief that God has a plan for creation, a plan to build his kingdom of peace, love and justice.
It holds that God has a special plan for every single one of us, whoever we are. Our part in this plan isn’t just limited to things ‘spiritual’, or times when we do “religious things.” It involves every aspect of our lives, from the things we pray about, to how we live as a responsible global citizen.
